StarOil Partners with RLFG for Friday Night Footy

StarOil has partnered with the Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) with a GH¢10,000 fuel contribution towards the delivery of the second edition of Friday Night Footy at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium.
The contribution will help RLFG meet key operational requirements for the event, including stadium lighting, transportation and other logistics. It will also support the transportation of students and young Rugby League participants attending the event.
Friday Night Footy, scheduled for Friday, 6 November 2026, will bring the 2026 Rugby League season to a major conclusion, featuring the Diva Series Final and the Men’s 13s Championship Final under the lights.
The support was formally received on Thursday, 8 October, when a delegation from RLFG and the Greater Accra Rugby League Association visited the StarOil office. The delegation comprised Emmanuel Okyne-Tetteh, Chairman of Greater Accra Rugby League; Paulina Buabeng, Vice Chairman; Jafaru Awudu Mustapha, General Manager of RLFG; and Hilaria Wuaku, Communications Lead, RLFG.
The fuel vouchers were presented by Amewuda Bernard Eyram, Marketing Officer, on behalf of StarOil.

StarOil’s partnership reflects its commitment to youth development through sport and its interest in contributing to the continued growth of Rugby League in Ghana. For RLFG, the partnership demonstrates the value of private-sector collaboration in creating stronger platforms for participation, competition and youth development.
RLFG appreciates StarOil for its contribution towards the delivery of Friday Night Footy and its commitment to the growth of Rugby League in Ghana.
